Sabah Randhawa
Provost and Executive Vice President
For the past 3 years, Dr. Randhawa has been serving OSU as Provost and Executive Vice President. In this position of leadership, Sabah reports directly to the President of Oregon State University.
"As the university’s Chief Academic Officer, I provide leadership and support to OSU’s academic colleges. This responsibility includes oversight of functions that enable success of the academic enterprise, including faculty and student services, information technology services, research and graduate program administration, and activities and initiatives for extension and distance and continuing education."
Evident of Dr. Randhawa’s excellent leadership, he also serves as the university’s Chief Operating Officer. “In this role, I am responsible for the university’s budgeting process and in leading implementation of the university’s strategic plan that includes annually establishing implementation strategies for the university’s strategic goals and tracking those activities.”
Prior to his joining the OSU community, Dr. Randhawa was on the faculty of the Department of Industrial Engineering at Arizona State University. Despite additional reasons for coming to Corvallis, including the overall quality of life, Dr. Randhawa came to OSU "for the opportunities to contribute to OSU and for personal growth."
Currently, Dr. Randhawa is working on an important project called "prioritization and realignment." This particular project is being implemented "to ensure that unit priorities are strategically coordinated across the university, to assure that university operations are sustainable in all critical operations, and to ensure that the university is strategically positioned for growth in the future."
In addition to his important campus activities, Dr. Randhawa has also been a loyal OSU Motor Pool customer for the past seven years. According to Dr. Randhawa, the “Motor Pool service is reliable and convenient, and the staff always works with me to accommodate my needs and requests.”
